Metro Rail to be extended in Nedumbassery

Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy officially announced that the Metro Rail project will be extended to Nedumbassery. CM also added that fair value would be given to the land is acquired. After that completion of Phase I and Phase II work will starts on for the Nedumbassery extension. The execution of the extension plan will begin soon after the completion of the work in the Aluva-Petta stretch. However the nod from Public Investment Board (PIB) and central government is necessary for executing the extension of the plan. KMPL will also look into the possibilities of availing funds from domestic agencies such as HUDCO, India Infrastructure Finance Company Private Ltd and a consortium of nationalised banks in India.
